The Netherlands Day 2

We left home Tuesday night and caught the late (10pm) flight to Amsterdam. Got lucky and had first class seats so slept well for several hours.

We are staying with Rich's uncle Cobus and aunt Janny near The Hague.  Last night we went out and watched the Netherlands end their World Cup journey. We walked home from the restaurant after the game ended at almost 1:00am.

Jet lagged we slept in until almost noon- hopefully tomorrow we will be comfortably on Dutch time.
Ben and Cobus at breakfast.

Herring bar in The Hague. I ate delicious fried fish, kids skipped the fish altogether.

Part of Binnehof- cool exterior we couldn't get in.
Ben and Elliott in front of Maurithuis - amazing art museum. Audio tour made it more interesting for kids.

We also visited 15th century prison and torture museum. Europeans were barbaric in some of their practices. Cruelty abounded even in this country with a reputation today for tolerance.
