Many shades of Green- day 19

Walked for he first time through woods and shaded paths for most of the day. There are so many shades of green.

Ferns, moss, leaves, grasses, vines. And most of the day the shaded walkways with moss covered walls.

Pauline arrived yesterday and we met up as planned- really a small miracle of modern communication and transportation. It is good to be together and figure out how to do our walk.

Pauline has lots of energy and a good walk - we walked more than 20 km. I,  however, am feeling quite tired- I think the days of walking and the mountains have taken their toll. May need a day of rest or short bus/can ride tomorrow.

We toured the Benedictine monastery in Samos with a novice monk. They have 14 monks living in this massive space.

We are in beautiful vegetarian albergue.
There are abou 20 pilgrims eating dinner together.

Here is a new installment in my series on defecation.

This town has some high standards for welcoming visitors.
