Music of the Cows- day 18

Most of the dairy cows here wear bells- each bell has it's own tone and rings with the rhythm of the cows movements.

This morning I stopped at a barn with an 8 cow symphony- eating their hay and making music. I took a video snippet so I could share the sound but l can't attach video here.

Then as I descended through the high pastures I could hear the sounds of the cow bells in the distance.

Walked through lots of small family farms.
Stopped to buy the local 'fresh cheese' a light creamy cow cheese. The smallest amount for sale was 1/2 a kilo so I bought it for my lunch.

And then sat on this bench and gave away cheese to passing pilgrims. So fun!

Here is some new international signage from the bar where I ate breakfast.

My friend Pauline arrives tonight in Triacastela and the final stage of the pilgrimage.  About 130km from here to Santiago.
