Ruins of San Anton
This is my home for tonight- the walls were built in the 1400s and it was home to an order of monks whose mission was to take care of pilgrims. The order no longer exists and volunteer run this tiny 11 bed albergue. There is no electricity or running water. I washed my self and my clothes in a little spiring. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcyJORMHgApRVRqxSoIkaIjtHJIVyHm56_RuZPu6XDoFI6x4EDQNl2ge4cUCJI41z8G5jdhJponhRLbCd-em-DcQtbNoSE9_UeJVRdBavWxYaY7f3c3Kr06Cg5Z8wbjuBD4LJsUGDULuw/s640/blogger-image--1727482771.jpg)

Walked 18 km today- stopping short of
the 'big' town Castojerez to stay in this beautiful spot. Dinner and breakfast are provided family style for all the pilgrims staying here. Very different from the crowded municipal albergue where I stayed last might.
I goty first blisters today on both heels- debating if I should open them up or not.
They aren't too painful and having them open to the air this afternoon is a good thing.
Walking was beautiful again today. Cool on the morning aroun 50 when I started walking and up into the 70s or low 80s in the afternoon sun.
Walked about a third of the day with people talking and 2/3 on my own. I wnkoy both.
