Getting ready to go

Here I am last month in snowy Minneapolis taking an urban pilgrimage training walk with my new backpack.  

Today is April 14 and I am packed and ready for departure tomorrow.  I fly to Atlanta then Madrid and than a bus to Burgos Spain.   

I have packed lightly - my backpack weighs in around 18 pounds - including my hiking poles that Elliott personalized for me with some purple and gold nail polish.  

I'm excited about the journey and it's hard to leave.  I'll miss my boys (children and husband) and friends.  And I'm excited about the adventures that await.
